The good news is that ANY high impedance injector can be used and driven by the stock Vortec PCM. At 60 psi, teh stock Vortec popets flow 22.1 lb/hr, so as you can see there is quite a bit of potential in these injectors. The Marine intake comes with 24 lb/hr injectors that flow 28.2 lb/hr at the Vortec 60 psi of fuel pressure. The stock l31 intake has many hills and valleys, the Marine intake is flat. Just having the fuel pressure regulator, fuel hoses, poppet injectors outside of the intake adds flow from teh get go. Notice the external fuel rails, external injectors, and identical throttle body position to the stock 元1/31 Vortec 350/305. or if you are currently usingan FMU and extra injectors to fuel your Vortec 350/305, this will for sure help you out if you want more power or maybe just to help you fuel your engine more accuratley. Sure the blown or turbo guys can add extra fuel injectors under the t-body but this leads to bad cylinder to cylinder fuel distribution.įor those who want to have power levels that go beyond 400 hp, the marine intake may be the answer for you. The 19 lb/hr injectors also limit 元1 power to under 330 rwhp(about 400 crank hp). The feed tubes and fuel pressure regulator impede airflow thru the intake and into the cylinder heads. I was asked to post some info about a conversion I recently made.Īs everyone here knows, the 1996-99 Vortec 305 and 350 trucks come with 19 lb/hr poppet style injectors which are contained within the intake manifold. Hi all, this is my 2nd post here, I hope to post here often.
